Holiday Decorating Tip

I am a sucker for a good theme and my girls love decorating for any holiday. One simple way to add a touch of festivity to your normal decor is by adding some sort of themed items inside a clear vase.  My girls love candy hearts so I decided to fill up a vase to surprise them when they get home tonight.

Here’s a helpful tip… before you fill your vase up, find a can or something similar in shape and size to your vase and place it inside. The goal is that it takes up as much space as possible because then you won’t have to buy nearly as much decor to make it look full!

Who knew the cleansing vile for my AMP roller anti-aging tool would be the perfect size for my Valentine’s candy heart display and come to my rescue!!! Lol. Whatever works, right?

Here’s a few other ideas on filling a clear vase throughout the year for different holidays:

  • Christmas………………. peppermint candy, ornaments, candy canes
  • Halloween……………… candy corn, pumpkin candy
  • Valentine’s Day………. red hots, candy hearts
  • Summer………………… sand, seashells
  • Fall……………………….. mini pumpkins, kernels of corn
  • Easter…………………… jelly beans, easter basket grass
